Lilly Kohn

Lilly Ann “Lee” Kohn of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii died on Dec. 11, 2019 in Hilo. Born July 3, 1947, in Detroit, she worked as a hospital administrative secretary.

She is survived by spouse, Robert; sons, Paul Rinnan and Bobby Rinnan, both of the Houston area; daughter, Lindsey Rinnan of Denver; brother, James (Linda) Rinnan of Kingwood, Texas and four grandchildren.

Ricardo Ramirez

Ricardo “Ricky” Ramirez, 45, of Keaau, died Dec. 7, 2019, at the Queen’s Medical Center on Oahu. Born in Wahiawa, he was a general laborer and also a member of Soka Gakkai International.

Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Dec. 28 at the Dodo Mortuary chapel. Funeral services at 10 a.m., followed by cremation. Casual attire; no flowers.

He is survived by wife, Tammy I. Ramirez of Keaau; son, Ricky Ramirez of Keaau; daughters, Raechelle (Keanu) Ramirez, Kylee Ramirez and Rikkilynn Surls-Ramirez, all of Keaau; father, Ricardo R. Ramirez of Mililani; brothers, Christopher (Norissa) Ramirez and Micah Ramirez of Mililani; sisters, Dezarrie Ramirez and Melanie Ramirez of California; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Makiko Kojiro

Makiko Kojiro, 99, of Hilo, died Nov. 18, 2019, at home. She was born in Hilo and was a homemaker and a member of the Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin.

Private services held. No flowers; no koden.

She is survived by sons, Clyde (Charlene) Kojiro and Wendell Kojiro of Hilo; daughter, Dale Kojiro of Honolulu; brother, Takashi Tomori of Honolulu; sister, Hiroko Tomori of Hilo; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
